Hub Arts Map C.I.C. (“we”, “us”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.  This policy (together with the Membership Contract, General Terms and Conditions, Cookie Policy and any other documents we refer to in this policy) set out how we will use your personal information and with whom it will be shared.  Please read the following carefully.

What information do we collect about you?

Does Hub Arts Map C.I.C. have a newsletter?

The Company regularly sends out a Newsletter via email (hereinafter "Newsletter") to all Users only if:  you have consented to this, by opting in to our online marketing newsletters, in person or by via an order on our website; or the information is about our products and services of a similar nature to those which were the subject of a previous sale or negotiation of a sale to you and you have not opted out of receiving such marketing messages; or where we are permitted to do so by law without consent, if you have provided us with your company email address. If you do not want us to use your personal data in this way, please contact us using the details at the end of this policy or online via our website contact page.

 In these Newsletters, we may inform you about new features from HUb Arts Map C.I.C. including upcoming events, artists & artworks or special promotions. 

User may choose to unsubscribe from the Newsletter at any time by sending an email to Customer Service at info@southlondonartmap.com

Marketing

  1. If you are an existing Member, we may contact you by social media/email/SMS/telephone/post with information about products and services which are similar to those we previously provided to you, unless you have indicated that you do not want to hear from us.

  2. If you are a new Member, we may contact you by social media/email/SMS/telephone/post, but only if you consent.

  3. We may also pass your information to other organisations (if you consent) who may contact you to provide marketing information about their products and services by social media/ email/SMS/telephone/post.

  4. If you do not want us to use your information in this way, please tick the relevant boxes during the order process when we collect your information.  You may ask us at any time not to use your information for marketing purposes by contacting us at info@southlondonartmap.com.

Disclosure of your information

  1. The information you provide to us may be accessed by or given to third parties some of whom may be located outside the European Economic Area who act for us for the purposes set out in this policy or for other purposes approved by you. Those parties process information, fulfil and deliver orders, process credit card payments and provide support services on our behalf. We may also pass aggregate information on the usage of our website to third parties but this will not include information that can be used to identify you.

Where you have consented when providing us with your details, we may also allow other companies in our group, to contact you occasionally about products and services which may be of interest to you. With whom do we share your information?

    5. if we have to share your information to comply with legal or regulatory requirements, or if we have to enforce or apply our Terms or any other agreements or to protect our rights, property or our customers, etc.  This may involve exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

6. We may share the non-personal aggregated statistics data about visitors to the Website with third parties 

7.We may also share your information with selected third parties for the purposes of credit card clearance/credit reference/order fulfilment/delivery/data analysis/customer support/storage services.

8. We may pass your email address to selected third parties (as described in paragraph 1.10 above) provided that you have explicitly consented to this when we take your order.

9. We do not send any personal information that we collect about you on the Website to any social media sites that you link to your account, e.g. Facebook, nor do we share that information with such sites.  We do not collect any personal information about you from those sites.

How do we keep your information secure?

  1. All your information is stored on secure servers.  Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology.  Any actions you perform on the Website which are related to your account will be encrypted.  If you have a username, password or other login details which enable you to access certain parts of the Website, you must not allow any other person to use them and must treat them as confidential.  If you believe or suspect that someone else knows your login details you must contact us at info@southlondonartmap.com as soon as possible.   2. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure.  Although we will apply our normal procedures and comply with legal requirements to protect your information, we cannot guarantee the security of your information transmitted to the Website and any transmission is at your own risk.  Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

The Website may from time to time contain links to and from other websites.  If you follow a link to any of those sites, please note that those sites ought to have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for those sites or for their privacy policies.  Please check those privacy policies before you submit your information to those sites. The information that we collect from you may be transferred to a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”), including the United States of America, where it will be stored by us or by one of our suppliers. It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such suppliers and staff may be engaged in, among other things, the provision of support services. We will take reasonable steps to ensure adequate security for any of your information transferred outside the EEA, but please be aware that destinations outside the EEA to which your information may be transferred may have data protection laws which do not offer the same level of protection for your information as those in force in the EEA. By using our website and submitting your information to us, you agree to the transfer, storing and processing of such information outside the EEA as set out in this privacy policy.

In particular, we use Wix Shoutout and website manager to provide marketing automation services and their servers are located outside the EU.  In order to safeguard the processing of your data by Wix Shoutout, the Wix privacy policy (which can be found here) outlines that they have signed up to the Privacy Shield Framework.

Third party payment processor

  1. If you pay for a product over this Site, we use Stripe Payments UK Ltd (“Stripe”) to process your payment. Stripe operates a secure server to process your payment details. They encrypt your credit or debit card information and authorise payment directly. This means that your credit card or debit card details are never revealed to us. Please read Stripe's privacy policy to  see what security measures they have in place and how they treat your information.

Your rights

  1. Under the Data Protection Act you have the right to see the personal information that we hold about you, whether collected through your use of the Website or through any communications that you have had with us. You have the right to access your information and should direct any request for your information to us at info@southlondonartmap.com.  Please note that currently a fee of ten pounds sterling (£10.00) may be payable to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

  2. You have the right to rectify your information by sending a written request to us at info@southlondonartmap.com.

  3. You have the right to ask us not to process your information (or pass your information to other companies or organisations) for marketing purposes.  You can tick the appropriate box on the forms when we collect your information or later at any time by contacting us at info@southlondonartmap.com.

If you have a complaint about how we have used your information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

What about data security?

We employ security measures to protect, so far as reasonably possible, your information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. We will retain your information for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires or permits.

The Business requires that our advertisers and partners ensure the security of the data that users provide to them, however, in the event of a breach of their security measures, you agree that the Business will not be liable for any losses or damages.

The Business limits access to personal information about users to employees, for whom we reasonably believe it is necessary, in order to provide products or services.

What is the minimum age to use this website

Use of http://www.southlondonartmap.com and products/services are intended for persons who are eighteen (18) years or older, or Business entities.

If proof comes to the attention of the Business that an individual user is under the age of eighteen (18) years, and is accessing our services and/or products without the consent, approval or authorisation of their parents or legal guardian or other person with legally recognised parental authority, the Business will immediately terminate such account.

May I see the information the Business collects about me? 

You are entitled to see the personal information held about you and you may ask us to make any necessary changes to ensure that it is accurate and kept up to date. We do not raise any charge in providing you with details of the information we hold about you, but we may raise a charge where such requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, in particular because of their repetitive character, we may either charge a reasonable fee taking into account the administrative costs of providing the information or communication or taking the action requested or refuse to act on the request. 

Can I Opt-out?

The Business gives users the option to remove personally identifiable information from our list of active users.

You may also choose to opt-out of certain communications from the Business, such as our Newsletter.

If you want to unsubscribe or opt-out of communications from us, send an email to Customer Service at info@southlondonartmap.com. We will respond within 48 hours.

The Business is not responsible for removing personally identifiable information from the lists of any 3rd-party partner or advertiser who has previously been provided your information in accordance with this Policy.

Changes

We may make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time by sending you an email with the modified terms or by posting a copy of them on the Website.  Any changes will take effect 7 days after the date of our email or the date on which we post the modified terms on the Website, whichever is the earlier.  Your continued use of the Website after that period expires means that you agree to be bound by the modified policy.
